"I'm tired of restin' in peace. I wanna get in there and spook everybody!"
—Phineas Pock to a reporter at the Disneyland Haunted Mansion

Phineas Pock is one of the ghosts who have retired in the Mansion. He was voicced by Paul Frees in a 1969 radio ad promoting the opening of the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland.

Biography[]

Phineas Pock is the ghost of a "real old-timer" who died in 1720. In 1969, he was interviewed at the Disneyland Haunted Mansion by a reporter, who he told he'd been waiting a long time for the Mansion to open. The reporter also interviewed Granny Ghoul and Willie the Wisp.

Other appearances[]

Trivia[]

  • He is one of the many Phineas Pocks in the Mansion.
  • Yet another Phineas is the fan-generated name for the Traveler Hitchhiking Ghost figure. It is unlikely that they are the same character, as “Phineas”'s clothes resemble that from the 19th-20th centuries, whereas the ad's Phineas Pock is said to have lived and died in the 18th century. However, the 2011 tombstone is located close to tombstones labelled Ezra and Gus, the names given to the other two Hitchhiking Ghosts, suggesting the tombstone might actually be referring to this Phineas and not the 1969 character.
